Cocktail Party-The Shanty

On the evening of Saturday, September 21, 2024 more than 100 classmates from the WTHS Class of 1974 and their guests attended our official 50th Reunion Cocktail Party at The Shanty in Wadsworth, IL.

After introductions and remarks by the 50th Reunion Committee, classmates were able to mingle and get reacquainted. A selection of hors d'oeuvres and desserts were served and artifacts from our class's 50 Year Time Capsule that was opened on Friday, September 20th were on display. In addition, a looping slideshow featuring photos of attending classmates, several grade school photos, photos of classmates who are no longer with us, and a selection of memorabilia from our high school days and from the Time Capsule was on display.

Music was provided by DJ, Brian Boncher, who also provide the tunes at our 45th Class Reunion in 2019.

During the evening, classmate and official photographer, Steve Bensing, recorded the fun with candid photos of classmates and several more formal photos. In addition to a large group photo of all classmates present, smaller group photos were taken of classmates who attended Jack Benny, Thomas Jefferson, or Daniel Webster Jr. High Schools and those who graduated from local parochial or private schools. He also took a photo of the 50th Class Reunion Committee Members.
